The Mercaz HaRav Overseas Program offers you a unique chance

The Yeshiva, which is located in a quiet community right near the main entrance of Yerushalayim (within walking distance of the central bus station), will put at your disposal everything you need to attain the highest level of Torat E'retz Yisrael during the time you will be part of the Yeshiva.

The Mercaz HaRav Overseas Program

Yeshivat Mercaz HaRav headed by HaRav Avraham Shapiro, former Chief Rabbi of Israel, continues the tradition of education to the light of Torat Erertz Yisrael that was determined by HaRav Kook, and expounded by his son, HaRav Zvi Yehuda Kook.

Today, still another aspect of HaRav Kook's vision is being realized, as young students on the threshold of their adult lives come to Eretz Yisrael, and have the great privilege to study Torat Eretz Yisrael in Yerushalayim. The period they are in the Yeshiva leaves it's mark: a mark of moral stature, of a higher and deeper love for Am Yisrael, Torat Yisrael, and for Eretz Yisrael. They come to understand what it means to be part of Am Yisrael, and that knowledge causes them to demand more of themselves.

When returning to the Diaspora, the values and ideals acquired when studying Torat Eretz Yisrael help those young men become vital members of the Jewish community.

Torat Eretz Yisrael links yehudei Eretz Yisrael and yehudei hagolah. That was part of HaRav Kook's vision when founding the Yeshiva. And today, when we have seen the impact of Torat Eretz Yisrael on youngsters from different countries who have come to study in the Yeshiva, we are happy to welcome all those who wish to be a part of this program.

"..And additional affection is vouchsafed those who study Torah in Eretz Yisrael and Yerushalayim. Here the Torah itself is more sublime, the Torah is collective, and it unites individuals into a whole. So the individual soul draws from the collective, from the collective soul of the hosts of Yisrael."
